How BizBytes Connect may be used, what keeps your WhatsApp number safe, and what we do — and do not do — with your data.
BizBytes Connect lets your own software — a billing package, an accounting package, a CRM — send WhatsApp messages on your behalf. It does this in one of two ways, and you choose which:
| Your own number | Meta Official | |
|---|---|---|
| How it connects | Your business number is linked as a device, the same way WhatsApp Web links | Through Meta's WhatsApp Business API, using your own Meta account |
| Who sets the rules | WhatsApp, informally and without warning | Meta, in writing, enforced up front |
| Who bills for messages | Nobody | Meta bills you directly |
Almost everything that goes wrong with WhatsApp messaging comes back to one thing: messaging people who did not expect to hear from you. These are not suggestions.
Your own customers, about their own orders, invoices, bookings and dues. Somebody who bought from you, enquired with you, or asked to be kept informed.
Lists bought from a data seller, numbers collected from directories or WhatsApp groups, or a list belonging to another business. This is the single fastest way to lose a number, and it is the one situation where we will suspend an account without notice.
We do this for you automatically: a reply of STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, REMOVE or similar adds that number to your do-not-message list immediately, and no campaign will reach them again — including one already running. You may also add numbers by hand. Do not work around it.
No messages about prohibited goods or services, no impersonation of another business, no misleading offers, nothing illegal, and nothing that would embarrass you if it were read aloud. Meta's own Business Messaging Policy applies to both channels and takes precedence over anything written here.
These are built in and cannot be switched off. They exist to protect your number, not to ration you.
| Rule | Your own number | Meta Official |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign sending hours | 9am – 9pm, your local time | 9am – 9pm, your local time |
| Campaign messages a day | 250 (60 for a newly linked number) | No limit from us; Meta's own apply |
| Gap between campaign messages | 15–45 seconds, varied | 1–3 seconds |
| Campaign messages an hour | 60 (15 while new) | 500 |
| Gap between any two messages | 2.5–5 seconds, including from your CRM | Meta's own limits |
| Invoices, reminders and replies | Not restricted by the hours or the campaign ceiling — your plan's daily allowance applies | |
An invoice sent at ten at night is a customer being served. A promotional message at ten at night is a complaint waiting to happen, and complaints are what get numbers suspended. So the hours and the campaign ceiling apply to campaigns only — your billing software can send whenever it needs to.
The campaign ceiling is separate from your plan on purpose. A larger plan buys you more invoices and reminders, not more advertising. If you need to promote at volume, use Meta Official — it costs per message, and it is the only way Meta permits it.
When you link your own number, you are connecting a real WhatsApp account as a device. WhatsApp can restrict or ban that account, at its own discretion, without notice and without an appeal that reliably works. It happens most often to accounts sending unsolicited messages, and it can happen to accounts doing nothing wrong.
We reduce that risk in every way we sensibly can — the pacing, the hours, the caps, the automatic opt-outs, and stopping a campaign the moment it starts failing. We cannot remove it. We do not control WhatsApp, we are not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta, and we cannot recover a number that has been restricted.
If you cannot afford to be without that number for a period, use Meta Official, or link a secondary number instead of your main one.
If you set up a rule that asks people questions — their name, their mobile number, their city — then what they type in reply is kept, and shown to you on your Enquiries page. Somebody filling in an enquiry expects that to happen, which is why it is allowed here and nowhere else. It stays narrow:
You can ask us to delete your account at any time. Doing so removes your contacts, campaigns, enquiries, uploaded files and WhatsApp session.
We may suspend an account, with notice wherever possible and without it where necessary, if:
A suspended account cannot send or sign in. Its data is retained so it can be restored if the matter is resolved.
Our liability is limited to the fees you have paid us for the period concerned. We are not liable for lost business, lost custom, or the consequences of a number being restricted by WhatsApp or Meta.
We may update these terms as the service changes or as Meta's rules change. Material changes will be told to you on the dashboard or by message. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
